What We Used to Call the Sky

Everything you've built, in one place you can actually see: the banked cast designs, the rules you locked, the scene beats that are confirmed, and the calls still waiting on you. One click loads this canon into the Studio so the AI script writer works from your world, not a blank page.

Where it stands

Next: Jace + Jupiter, designed together

From your design brief and pair contrast sheet (drafts, not canon until you rule). Then you pick the first dragon, one at a time.

The calls, in order

  1. Jupiter's ageChild or young teen? Sets his height against Jace, his clothes, and how the promise reads on screen. Rule this first.
  2. Jace's face and buildSame personality type as Io, different face. Must read as a friend, not a clone. Non-martial: he survives by wit, not strength.
  3. The pair readPhysically close in frame (under his wing, literally), or closeness shown through glances and posture?
  4. WardrobeThe clothes they landed in, captive clothes, or both? The battlefield and the march are two different looks.
  5. Jace's mouth as an instrumentA distinct way of talking (smirk, fast mouth), or is the difference all in what he says?
  6. What they share with Io's silhouetteDecide it on purpose; don't let it happen by default. Io's lock: Black, mid-20s, ponytail, glasses, stubble and mustache, hoodie, slouch.
  7. Then the first dragonShortlist: the Ruling Dragon · the Column Commander · Tiamat · Leviathan · the shadow dragons · the habitat castes.

Pair beats already on file

  • Snatch order: Jace is taken first, Jupiter second. Io stands frozen between the dragons and the knights. Their first image on screen is apart, not together.
  • Jupiter as collateral: Tiamat keeps the boy as a guarantee that Jace comes back. Does his look carry that hostage weight?
  • The key countdown: the King spends captive "keys" one by one and turns toward the boy. Jace takes a calculated risk and sacrifices someone else. Who: your call

Still parked

  • The ending question: Io stays in 2D with the princess, or shows her the third dimension?
  • The Ruling Dragon's name · the Column Commander's name
  • The prophecy's wording · the King's moral code
  • Metatron's solid form · Molly's side of the split · Roosevelt?
  • What the Ether gives Io at the end of the trial
  • Lost external draft (filler + dialogue): re-dictate, then save it raw first

The cast

The solo portraits are the designs. Group shots are reference only. Tap any portrait to enlarge it.

Protagonist · the hybrid

Io

  • Black, mid-20s, average build, long black ponytail, glasses, 5 o'clock shadow and mustache
  • Hoodie, cargos, sneakers. Slack-shouldered slouch that straightens as his confidence grows
  • Survives by talking. The only face that laughs
Face lockedPosture arc
JaceLook not designed yet · next session
Io's best friend · dragon captive

Jace

  • Sarcasm, verbal acrobatics, venom. The only captive who mouths off at the dragons
  • Drives dragons into fits and infighting. Never has to face the trial room
  • Promises to keep Jupiter safe. Arc 2: the dying messenger
Look open
Jupiter · "Jupe"J-U-P-E · look not designed yet
Io's kid brother

Jupiter

  • Named in tribute to your late friend Jupiter
  • Io is a moon of Jupiter: the older brother orbits the younger
  • Kept by Tiamat as collateral. The 16–25 shōnen register still applies; he's never softened
Age first
Triangle Kingdom · the King's daughter

Princess Pyra

  • Very attractive English-noble face (Diana register), slightly pointed chin
  • The only alien tell: triangular pupils
  • Runs the prisoner interviews. Her first laugh comes from Io's tickle
Face lockedHair not ruled
Host of the summit · Pyra's father

The Triangle King

  • Silver trimmed hair; goatee and mustache form a triangle; triangular pupils
  • Enforces the doctrine, but considers. Rolls a troy-weight coin across his fingers while thinking
  • Holds the Ether's prophecy, yet lets Io roam free
Name open
Field sergeant · man-at-arms of the court

Sergeant Trigon

  • Mid-30s, big T-shoulders tapering to an apex: an inverted-triangle torso
  • Forest-green triangle plate over a navy and gold undercoat (matches Pyra)
  • By-the-book offense strategist with no family. Goes from captor to presenter to companion
Navy fix applied
Air Kingdom · quest party

The Hot Shot

  • Charlie Sheen-type maverick who wins by sheer chance. Blonde, cynical rather than smirking
  • Sky blue with octahedron insignia. His real job: low-end air-ground support
  • First convert to laughter. Pilots the submersible on Leg 1
Name open
Wing battle suit

Hot Shot: flight suit

  • Wings sweep up and back off the shoulders, with thrusters at the wing roots (SAMAS tips only)
  • Falcon helmet instead of the Rifts skull face, which is banned
  • Octahedron pupils (the pupil rule)
No skull faces
Ether · dodecahedron · the oldest

The Ether

  • Always invited, never attends, for centuries. This time he comes
  • The only Platonic who smiles: the expression nobody can figure out
  • Claims his right to speak, demands the quest, then laughs
Smile rule
Cube Kingdom · the most over-logical

The Cube King

  • Earthen colours; everything squared
  • Resents the Ether: "they cut corners." Big-headed founding-solid pride
Conflict: boar snout (solo) vs "human man" (group ruling)
Air / Sky Kingdom · octahedron

Aragai

  • Suspicious of everything, afraid of nothing; they risk gravity every day
  • Navy service dress, octahedron medals, airships overhead
Solo is canon
Water Kingdom

The Water King

  • Afraid of everything because he doesn't want anything to change. "Large amounts of change do not work in water ecology."
  • First to lose his cool at the summit
He's a man: group renders feminise him
Fractal side

The dragons

None designed yet. You pick the order. The five-headed image you sent was checked against Tiamat's spec in CHARACTERS-11.

Reference only, not a ruled design. Keep close to the concept without being plagiaristic.

Tiamat: image vs. your spec

  • ✓Five heads with the red one central and largest
  • ✓Red chest and front of the body
  • ✓Tail tapers to a stinger-like tip
  • ✗Head order: here it's green, white, red, blue, black. Spec: black and white on the inner shoulders, green and blue on the outer edges (blue and black are swapped)
  • ✗Claw raised to strike. Spec: she's too massive to attack with claws. She fights with five breath weapons and the stinger
  • ?Centre head should be broad and thick-necked, pit-bull-like; outer heads longer and serpentine. The outer necks here are close, the centre is too slim
  • ?Shoulder span is her master dimension (a five-turreted wall). Wings aren't in the spec: your call
  • ?Chromatic streaks from each head down her back: not visible from the front

Her voice: five species speaking in one chord. Dragons can't disobey it. She hates them all and serves the King only to keep her seat.

The Ruling Dragon

Fire/volcanic line, unnamed. Wrote the doctrine of chaos. Feeds captives into the trial room one by one.

The Column Commander

Ice dragon, head guard of the prisoners. Disciplines the young dragons. Strongest in the Ice Lands, worn out by the Volcanic Lands.

Leviathan & the sea

Ocean caste with its own military; stays out of the wars. The only mass that matches Tiamat's.

Shadow dragons

Black dragons of the Lands of Shadow. On screen so far: eyes only, in the dark stretches of the prisoner march.

Habitat castes

Swamp (acid), ice, white (cone of cold), blue sky (lightning from the face), fire. Route: Marsh → Ice → sulfur band → Volcanic.

Scene · confirmed beats

The Summit of Heads

Triangle Kingdom council chamber: medieval yet modern, a triangular table, the empty tip seat that belongs to the Ether, wide spacing, room for attendants, drinks in front of every ruler.

v7 is reference only. Known drift from the solos: the Water King renders feminine, and the Triangle King's and Aragai's hair are off. The Cube King as a human is ✓.

CubeResents (logic offended)
TriangleWeary (the burden of its shape)
AirSuspicious of everything
WaterAfraid of change
  1. The failed volunteersThe New Yorker ("Where's my congressman?") and the surfer ("Can I just touch the water?") are dismissed fast.
  2. The agendaWhat ARE these people, what do we DO with them, and why have the dragons gone silent?
  3. Pyra suggests IoShe makes his case like a capability report: "he never stops talking."
  4. Trigon fetches IoCaptor, then presenter: one unbroken chain of custody.
  5. The Ether claims his timeThe room goes stone-cold pale, because he never does this.
  6. The prophecy and the mapHe demands Io get whatever he needs. The silence is a countdown, not peace.
  7. The pushbackIo doesn't look capable. The Ether seems crazier than usual.
  8. Water breaks first"He doesn't show up for hundreds of years, and then he comes here and does this to us?!"
  9. The Ether laughsThe kings see the prisoners' expression on their oldest member's face.
  10. Io recognises himIo signs on and stands taller, remembering Jupe and Jace.

The Ether's exact words are yours to write. Metatron is in the room, so the leak is total.

Design rules

Every prompt and every script should respect these. Loading the canon sends them to the Studio's AI.

Just human

No geometry bolted onto bodies. The human body is already fractal branching on measured segments. The Platonics drove fractalism out through society, not biology.

Pupil rule

Each people's pupils take the shape of their kingdom's solid: triangles for the Triangle Kingdom, octahedrons for Air. Pyra's ONLY alien feature is her pupils.

Smile rule

Only the Ether smiles. Everyone else's face is legible in geometry but unreadable in feeling, until the humans arrive.

Stature standard

All five kingdoms read as one world: the Ether tallest, the Cube widest, the Triangle regal-military, Air in service dress.

Solos are canon

The solo portraits are the designs. Group and summit shots are composition reference only; their drift isn't design.

16–25 shōnen register

Never softened toward children, even with Jupiter in frame.

Io's posture is the arc

He slouches early and only stands straight once he's sure of himself. Track it shot to shot.

References, not copies

Tiamat vs. TSR, the Hot Shot vs. the Rifts SAMAS: take tips, make an original design. No skull faces.

Generator test

A video tool only counts if it can carry a COMPLETE scene end to end at a sustainable cost. The test scene is Transport Talk.

How we got here

Design history

Superseded passes, kept so you can see what changed and why. None of these is canon.

From script to screen

The video pipeline

Your scorecard rule: no tool counts unless it carries a whole scene. Here's how Dreamframe feeds whichever one passes.

Your uploaded clip (962_21_1592.mp4).

Generator scorecard: score each tool on

  1. A complete scene end to end, not just a clip
  2. Character consistency, with pupil shapes and uniform colours held
  3. Sustainable cost: seconds of footage per plan
  4. API or agent hook (closed apps are a trap)
  5. Clean export into your project folder

Candidates named so far: Runway, Luma Dream Machine, Kling (via fal.ai or Replicate). For images: Leonardo, Flux. All pricing unverified, so check before buying.

01Load canon

The button at the top sends your characters, world and rules to the Studio.

02Write the scene

Start with Transport Talk, your generator test scene, in screenplay format.

03Break into shots

3–10s shots. Every prompt restates looks, pupils and uniform colours.

04Run the test

Feed the same shot list to each generator and score them.

What didn't make it in

The zip was bigger than the import limit. 60 text files arrived, including COMPLETE-SESSION-2026-10-20-21.md (303K characters, your 10-20/21 compilation). These separate files were cut. Anything written after 10-21 (Leg routes, the summit chamber, the 10-24 designs) needs its own file.
